Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. It is Figment's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, https://figment.so, and other sites we own and operate.

We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used.

We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we’ll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

We use service providers to operate Figment, including providers for hosting, account management, payments, and product analytics. We do not publish your account information. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Website and Figma plugin analytics

We use PostHog to understand which features work, where errors occur, and how people move from the free product to paid features. Website analytics can include page visits, button clicks, approximate location, and masked session recordings. After you sign in to the Figma plugin, we record feature use, screen changes, publish and export attempts, fixed error categories, and upgrade clicks. Plugin events use your internal account ID and a random plugin session ID.

On selected public pages, we also measure which sections and offer buttons appear in the browser window, approximate visible time, scroll depth, and whether text in a section was highlighted. We record a fixed section identifier, not the highlighted text or its length. These measurements do not include form values or content from your website editor.

Plugin analytics do not include your design content, layer names, generated HTML, email address, auth token, or file URLs. Files you send to publish or export a website are processed separately to provide that feature. We do not record the plugin screen as a session replay.

Optional guide attribution

A link from a Figment guide can send the public guide slug, such as blog/can-ai-edit-my-website, to the editor. The link does not include a visitor ID, account ID, email address, referrer, another query parameter, or website content. Figment does not create a persistent anonymous identifier for this source handoff.

After you sign in, the editor asks for your explicit consent before it associates that guide slug with your account activity or a later purchase. If you consent, Figment keeps the association for 30 days. It does not include your imported site content, edit prompts, or payment details. You can revoke consent in Account and billing > Guide attribution > Stop sharing.

You can turn off website analytics in this browser. When you next complete a Figma plugin sign-in from that browser, we also save the analytics opt-out on your Figment account. The plugin and its server events then respect that account setting. Analytics are not required to publish or export.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.

You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.
