Locofy is the value play in Figma-to-code. It has a one-click AI conversion mode and a manual tagging mode, it exports React, Vue, Angular, Next, Gatsby, plain HTML and CSS, React Native and Flutter, and it can map to component libraries like Material UI and Chakra. Paid plans start low, with team and token-based tiers above that. On breadth per dollar it's tough to beat.

The known trade is that output quality depends heavily on how well organized your Figma file is. Layers named properly, auto layout used consistently, components actually componentized. If your file is messy, the code is messy. That's true of every tool in this category, Locofy included.

But the reason most people end up searching for Locofy alternatives isn't code quality. It's the step after.

The folder problem

You convert, you export, and now you have code. To have a website you still need hosting, a build, a domain, a certificate and a deployment. Then the design changes, and you export again, and you have to reconcile the new export with whatever was edited by hand since the last one.

For a dev team with CI already running, that's routine. For a designer, a founder or a small marketing team, it's a project with no end date. The conversion was never the hard part.

Stay with Locofy if

You need code in a specific framework. React Native and Flutter in particular are things we will never do. If your design is heading into a mobile app or an existing web codebase that engineers maintain, Locofy is the right category and Figment isn't in it.

Stay also if you have developers who want ownership of the output. Handing them clean generated code is a reasonable workflow and a real time saver.
