BEFORE YOU UPLOAD
Start with the website files
A chat link is not a website file. Ask ChatGPT for a complete index.html file with the page styles and browser scripts included. Download the file to your computer.
- A complete index.html file, not a code fragment.
- Any separate CSS, JavaScript, and image files the page uses.
- Files you own or have permission to publish.
From files to a live link
Check the files
Open the file checker and select your website files. It checks for missing files and unsupported features. You do not need to sign in for this check.
Review the page
Sign in to save a preview. Open it on your phone and computer. Test the links and buttons. A file check does not prove that every feature works.
Publish your version
Approve the version you reviewed. Figment gives it a public link. Keep using your own AI for later changes.

Before you publish
Does Figment connect to my ChatGPT account?
No. You bring the files from your chat. Figment does not read your conversations or connect to your ChatGPT account.
What if ChatGPT gave me React code?
React source files need a build step before upload. Ask for the built site files with index.html at the top level, or ask for a single HTML version. A repository or ZIP file is not a ready-to-upload site.
Can I change the website later?
Yes. In Your apps, prepare the files and prompt for your own AI. Return the AI response file to Figment. Review the new preview before you publish. This workflow supports HTML, CSS, and browser JavaScript.
What is free?
File checks, previews, and editing with your own AI are free. You do not need a Figment subscription or AI credits for those edits. Your AI provider may charge separately. Storage and hosting limits apply. Ask about hosting limits for your project. Figma publishing plans are separate from HTML app hosting.
Can I edit a website that is already online?
Yes, through a separate import workflow. Import a copy of your website. Your original hosting stays unchanged. A copy does not transfer its backend, accounts, or payment system.
Will people find this link in search?
Figment tells search engines not to index hosted HTML apps. This workflow is for sharing a link, not for a search-indexed business website.
Can I include booking or payment tools?
A normal link to your existing provider can work. Embedded tools, iframes, external scripts, remote images, and form submissions are blocked by the app hosting policy. Include local images in your upload. Test links to external services before you share the page.
