Yes β if you act before December 26, 2026. Your site is unpublished on September 27, 2026, but the domain is a separate registration. The date that matters for it is December 26: after that, per Weebly's shutdown notice, you no longer have login access to your Weebly account, which is where a Weebly-bought domain is managed and renewed. Weebly says access continues until then so you can move "your site, domains, and data". What happens to a Weebly-registered domain after December 26 is not published, so don't wait to find out.
Check this first, because it decides everything else. In your Weebly Dashboard go to Websites β Domains. A domain you bought through Weebly is listed there with a Manage option and a Registrar Lock toggle. A domain you bought elsewhere (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare and so on) and only connected to Weebly is managed at that registrar, not at Weebly β the shutdown doesn't change its registration.
| Where the domain is registered | What to do | Deadline |
|---|---|---|
| Bought through Weebly | Transfer it to another registrar | Before December 26, 2026 (login access ends) |
| Bought elsewhere, connected to Weebly | Change its DNS at your registrar when the new site is ready | None from Weebly; keep your own renewal date |
| Country-code domain (.co.uk, .deβ¦) bought through Weebly | Contact Weebly support to transfer it | Before December 26, 2026 |
Source for every row: Weebly's notice, read September 16, 2026.
From your Weebly Dashboard: Websites β Domains β Manage β Manage Domain on the domain you're moving, then turn off the Registrar Lock toggle. That shows the EPP authorization code. Copy the full code and start the transfer at your new registrar; the rest of the process happens there. Weebly's notice lists these rules:
Weebly's general transfer instructions mention keeping a domain with Weebly and pointing it at another host. For accounts in the 67 affected countries, that is risky: once login access ends on December 26, 2026, you can't change the DNS or renew the domain from that account, and Weebly doesn't publish what happens to the registration after that. If a transfer is blocked by the 60-day rule, start it the day the lock ends and ask Weebly support before December 26.
Don't let the domain lapse, and don't change its contact details before the transfer. A domain you've had for years carries every backlink, bookmark and business card that uses it β it's the most valuable thing to keep from the whole site.
Rebuilding somewhere that won't do this to you again? The Figma-to-website walkthrough for Weebly sites covers the DNS step in the same order as this checklist. If you haven't started the rest of your export yet, the full Weebly export walkthrough is here.
